Monday July 24th
First day at the new company then. Met up with Gary, the trainer (lower pic), and the 2 other lads on the course (chris cook and melvin bird [above pic]). Spent the morning going through the 7 written exams (classes 1,2,3,4,5,signs and air) that we needed to take for our learners licences.
In the afternoon, we all went down to SGI (driving test centre) in the centre of saskatoon and took the 7 tests (on computer). Passed them all. One more thing out of the way then.
After that, Gary took me round to the government offices to get my SIN (social insurance number) card and then to the scotia bank to open a bank account.
Looking good so far. Gotta go drive trucks on the wrong side of the road tomorrow though.
Could get messy!!
