Monday August 14th
Went round to the yard early to see if I have any mail and to see Chad, my boss, about getting my truck cleaned and having my CB fitted. Was told that my truck would be detailed and went over to the tractor shop to ask about them fitting my CB for me. No problem said Greg, it will be done today. Nice man. Got a call from Chad around 3pm to say my truck has been cleaned. 2 nice men. Darren, one of my dispatchers says to call him tomorrow for work so my truck has time to dry after the carpets being shampooed. Not sure if he's serious or not about the shampooing. I'll find out tomorrow. Hopefully I get to start my first solo trip tomorrow. Not worried about the driving or finding my way around as they give me a routing list with my dispatch notes. The paperwork and the border crossing however may be a different story.
