Ran down to the tractor shop to see if they could find/fix the coolant and oil leaks on 494. They had a prod and a poke, then it was time for the diagnosis. Greg (chief mechanic type chap) said the head gasket had gone and there was also a problem with the cam followers. Boots, however, disagreed, saying that the quadriflangle on the left hand foo-foo valve was jammed. Greg said there was no such thing and questioned Boots' mechanical knowledge stating that he is, in fact, only 2 years old after all, at which point, Boots bit Greg on the ankle and was subsequently banned from the tractor shop. Anyway, 494 was off the road for, they estimate, 3 weeks and I was given a domestic Peterbilt (#441) until such time as 494 is ready. 2 hours of moving bags, CB, satellite radio etc into 441 then got a trailer for Regina and ran the 160ish miles South to there, parking at the Husky for the night.
