Saturday May 19th

Left Chamberlain and headed down through Regina, Francis and Weyburn before stopping in Estevan for fuel and coffee. A few more miles and I'm at the U.S. border at Portal, North Dakota. I need to renew my I-94 visa (they only last for 3 months) so I park up on the U.S. side and go to renew it while the border guards search my truck. New I-94 and search complete, I run down 52 to the junction with #5. Normally, I'd turn West here and cut across country but as it's spring time, there are lower weight limits on a lot of the roads due to the thaw, so I have to turn East to Minot and then West on #2 to Williston. South from here for 20 miles to #200 where I turn West and over the border into Montana. Down 16 through Sidney to Glendive where I join I-94 (the Interstate, not the visa) and run 75 miles West to the Town Pump at Miles City where I park for the night.
