Thursday May 10th
Up bright and early and headed into Calgary to make my delivery. Sat around at the customer 'til they decided which door it was going in then finally got unloaded. Ran the empty round to the Calgary terminal and dropped it in the yard. Hooked and empty container (can) and ran South to highway 3 then East through Lethbridge and out to the McCain foods plant between Coaldale and Taber. Got loaded with 25 tons of frozen french fries for Japan and set off back the way I came. Over the DAI scale in Lethbridge then West some more on #3 and North up #2 back to Calgary for fuel and coffee from the Husky. Onto TCH1 again and West as far as Banff where I parked up for the night. The pic is a strange looking building in Lethbridge and I have no idea what it is :-)
Additional:-
The mystery is over. My old mate Steve (who is way too clever by half, by the way, lol) wrote to me to inform me that the building in question was, in fact, the old town water tower which was recently converted to a restaurant. So there ya go, now ya know. Thanks Mr P.
