Crossed the state line into New Mexico. Stopped for fuel and coffee at the flying 'j' in Albuquerque. Still on I-40, East and over the state line into Texas and more Fuel and caffeine in Amarillo. Over another state line into Oklahoma and stopped at the Sayre flying 'j'. I've now run out of driving hours and have to take off 34 hours to reset my logbook. In the USA, you can have a maximum of 70 hours on duty (driving and other work) in an 8 day period which you can reset by taking 34 consecutive hours off duty. In Canada the rules are different. You can have 70 hours on duty in a 7 day period and can reset by taking 36 consecutive hours off. In Canada, you must also have 24 consecutive hours off in every 14 day period. There is also another driving cycle you can use in Canada, but I never use it. Anyway, I'm in Oklahoma 'til tomorrow sometime. Gonna do laundry, shower, watch DVDs, relax and be a lazy sod.
