Tuesday December 12th
Got a load our of Panther at Davidson, SK. Got down there around 12:30 for a 1:30pm load. Got loaded early, the ran round to the wheat pool to be scaled. Spent the next 2 hours moving axles and the fifth wheel backwards and forwards trying to make the load legal for the states. Eventually got it pretty close, (I'm legal in Canada anyway), so set off South towards Regina to burn some fuel and so lose a little weight. Got down to the Regina Husky and scaled again. Only 100lbs over now and should lose that in diesel before the border, so, coffee in hand, off we go to Portal, at the US border. Crossed the border no problem, then drove through North Dakota on highways 52, 5, 40, 2 and then 85 South to the 85/I-94 intersection at Belfield, ND. Parked up at the Super-pumper truck stop til morning. Only half a mile to my delivery from here.
