Wednesday December 13th

Left the Super-pumper and drove down to Geo Drilling, the customer. Andy #525 is already there, so we have a coffee and a chat while he is unloaded. We both get a satellite from dispatch telling us to run empty to Winnipeg, so Andy waits while I get unloaded. Both done, so we fuel up at the Super-pumper. Onto I-94 now and head East the 300 miles or so to Fargo, ND, where we get fuel and coffee at the flying 'j'. North now on I-29 to the Canadian border at Emerson, MB, with a quick stop at the Gastrak for cigarettes before I get back into taxville. They are scanning every truck crossing the border tonight for some reason, very unusual, so we sit for around 90 minutes listening to the truck drivers bitching on the CB. My turn to scan, so I have to get out and stand talking to the customs girl. I tell her I'm going back to England for Christmas and she says her sister just married a man I know on the Isle of Man. Small world etc etc. That done, on up to Winnipeg, drop our trailers and bobtail round to the flying 'j', where I am now. Sleep time.
