Tuesday January 23rd

Up around 2am and got an LTL trailer for Regina. Hooked it and got out of Vancouver before the world wakes up. Fuel and coffee at Chilliwack, then East past Hope and the long climb up to Coquihalla summit. Through the toll booth ($40 or $50, depending on whether I've got 5 or 6 axles today) then on through Merritt, over Nicola summit and down over the Kamloops scale and into the Petro on Copperhead road for coffee and food. Back on highway 1 now and East past the Gateway travel plaza (apparently on the spot where Billy Miner once robbed a train) then on out towards Sicamous. Got to Chase hearing on the CB that some trucks were stuck on the hill climbing out on the other side, so parked up for a while to wait for the sand trucks. Off again, through Salmon Arm and on to Sicamous for fuel and more coffee. Still East, pretty snowy now, Through Revelstoke, Rogers Pass and down to Golden. Got a Satellite from Darren telling me to take the trailer into Calgary terminal for tonights turnpike. Out of Golden, into Alberta then down through Banff, Canmore and off at Cochrane, taking the back roads into Calgary to avoid the traffic on 16th North. Into the terminal, dropped the trailer and off to bed.
