Wednesday January 17th
Out of Ellensburg at 1:15am local time (3:15 Saskatoon/logbook time) and headed West on I-90 towards Seattle. First though, is the small matter of Snoqualmie. Sure enough, the 'all vehicles over xxx Kg must chain up' sign is flashing. Chaining up a truck isn't particularly difficult, but in the snow and the dark, well, I can think of better things to do at 2am. Over the hill then and off with the chains. West to Seattle then North on I-405 (Seattle bypass) then I-5 and North around another 100 miles to the Canadian border at Blaine/Pacific Highway. Only 15 miles over the border and I'm at my first delivery in Langley, Vancouver. That done, drop 2 done in PoCo (Port Coquitlam) then over to our Vancouver terminal on Annacis island to drop my trailer. Hooked an LTL trailer for Stoon and managed to get over the Coquihalla to Kamloops before stopping for the night.
