Monday October 9th
Headed down to Newark, CA to make my delivery. Not due til tomorrow but the nice girl on the phone said I can just turn up. Got the load off ok and told dispatch my trip was complete. Got a satellite back saying head south for Los Angeles. Ok, off we go then. Across 152 to the I-5 and then south for LA. Got to the LA terminal around 8pm and went to see Diane who runs the LA depot. Got my paperwork and hooked the trailer only to find the safety had run out on September 30th. Told dispatch and was told to wait til tomorrow so the trailer could be inspected. Went to sleep in DHEs very noisy and busy yard.
